ABA Adopts Outsourcing Rules, Delays Fee-Splitting Measure

Law360, Chicago (August 07, 2012, 10:44 PM ET) -- The American Bar Association's policy-making body adopted rule changes Monday meant to clarify lawyers' ethical responsibilities when outsourcing work, but delayed taking action on a measure that would have reaffirmed the ABA's stance against lawyers splitting fees or transferring law firm ownership to nonlawyers.
