Law360, New York (August 07, 2012, 10:15 PM ET) -- Harris County, Texas, jury pools consistently comprise a disproportionate number of white citizens when compared to community demographics because of low turnout by racial minorities, according to data released by the district clerk’s office on Tuesday.
According to Harris County District Clerk Chris Daniel, from January through May, of the 205,339 people who received notification of a request for jury service, 39 percent didn't come to court.
