SF Court Expands Mandatory E-Filing To All Complex Cases

Law360, San Diego (September 18, 2012, 10:52 PM ET) -- The California Superior Court in San Francisco County said Monday that lawyers will be required to file documents electronically for all complex litigation cases by Oct. 15.

CEO T. Michael Yuen said the court’s mandatory e-filing program, which already applies to asbestos cases, is being expanded to cover all complex matters under Local Rule 2.10.

The court, which receives about 75 new complex litigation filings each year, awarded the contract for the expansion of e-filing services to LexisNexis, which has served as the court’s e-filing vendor...
