Law360, New York (December 17, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Paving the way for a fresh start for Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP and Hughes & Luce LLP, the two firms’ partners have signed off on a proposal to join forces in the new year.
The partners voted Monday in favor of a proposal to combine the two firms, creating a law firm of more than 1,500 lawyers in 23 offices located throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
The union will be effective Jan. 1, the firms said.
