W.Va. Judge Pleads Not Guilty To Railroading Romantic Rival

Law360, New York (August 21, 2013, 6:14 PM ET) -- A West Virginia county judge accused of trying to plant drugs on his mistress's husband and pursuing bogus criminal allegations against him pled not guilty to the federal charges Wednesday and was released on a $10,000 bond, according to court documents.

Federal prosecutors arrested Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury on Aug. 15 after he was indicted for allegedly trying to have drugs planted in the husband's pickup truck after the judge's mistress and secretary, known only as "K.W." in court documents, broke off the affair....
