NY Southern District Stays Civil Cases Litigated By US Attys

Law360, New York (October 01, 2013, 5:15 PM ET) -- The federal spending impasse led New York's busiest federal court district Tuesday to stay civil cases, toll deadlines in those matters and essentially ban all business travel until the shutdown is resolved, though, with respect to many other matters including bankruptcies, the court expects to remain open.
