Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 1:32 PM ET) -- Medical equipment manufacturer Invacare Corp. has sued rival Medical Depot Inc. for allegedly infringing several utility and design patents related to adjustable hospital beds and walkers.
The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, claims that Medical Depot, which operates as Drive Medical Design and Manufacturing, willfully infringed five utility patents and a design patent that cover the height-adjustable portions of several beds and walkers made by Invacare.
