Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 1:04 PM ET) -- A federal court has thrown out an antitrust suit brought by medical equipment sellers against hospitals in the Montgomery, Ala., area for allegedly shutting out the equipment companies by selling their own medical supplies.
The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama on Monday dismissed the suit, in which Precision CPAP Inc., Medical Place Inc., Phase III Vans Inc. and Med-Ex accused Jackson Hospital and other medical providers of violating the Sherman and Clayton acts, as well as Alabama law.
