Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 7:14 PM ET) -- The U.S. attorney's office in Massachusetts has hit Medtronic Inc. with a “civil investigative demand” seeking documents relating to the medical technology company's relationship with a Tufts University medical clinic.
The demand specifically relates to cardiologists at the clinic, CoreValve Inc. and certain employees of both the company and the clinic, Medtronic said in a Wednesday 10-Q filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The demand comes in connection with the federal False Claims Act, Medtronic disclosed.
