Law360, New York (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A California-based medical device maker will shell out $2.75 million to settle a patent lawsuit involving 10 patents related to technology used in rotator cuff surgery and other arthroscopic procedures.
ArthroCare Corp. reached the settlement with MarcTec LLC on Tuesday, ArthroCare said. In addition to the $2.75 million payment, ArthroCare will pay MarcTec future royalties related to patent licensing deals.
“The client’s happy with the settlement,” said Ralph Gabric, an attorney for MarcTec.
