Aetna Loses Bid To Intervene In Wellbutrin Suit

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 7:14 PM ET) -- A federal judge has shot down a bid by Aetna Inc. to represent a class of end payors in the antitrust multidistrict litigation over the antidepressant Wellbutrin XL.

Judge Mary A. McLaughlin on Wednesday denied Aetna's move to intervene in the case, saying the insurer's motion came too late in the litigation, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
