Law360, New York (July 23, 2010, 4:17 PM ET) -- Boston Scientific Corp. is warning physicians about a possible defect in switch mechanisms for three of its implantable cardioverter defibrillators that may cause the devices to fail to deliver needed electric stimulation to patients’ hearts.
The Natick, Mass.-based company announced Thursday that it sent an advisory letter to doctors detailing the potential switch performance problems with Contak Renewal 3, Contak Renewal 4 and Vitality HE devices that were manufactured between January 2006 and November 2007.
