Sanofi Loses Suit Against FDA Over Generic Eloxatin

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 7:51 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Monday threw out a lawsuit brought by Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC and Debiopharm SA that sought to force the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to rescind its approvals of applications to make generic versions of the lucrative colon cancer drug Eloxatin.

Also on Monday, Sanofi-Aventis filed a separate suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia arguing that the FDA should withdraw its approval of Sandoz Pharmaceutical Industries Inc.'s bid for a regulatory green light to make a generic version...
