Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 3:46 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court asked the acting U.S. solicitor general for input Monday as it weighs whether to take up a patent dispute between a generic-drug maker and Novo Nordisk AS over diabetes drug Prandin.
The high court, which is in the process of considering Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd.'s petition for certiorari in the long-running patent dispute stemming from the company's bid to market a generic version of Novo's Prandin, invited the solicitor general to file a brief expressing the government's views on the case....
