Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 9:43 PM ET) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration dodged a suit Friday brought by ViroPharma Inc. over its guidelines for testing whether generic drugs are equivalent to brand names.
Judge Ellen S. Huvelle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that Exton, Pa.-based ViroPharma lacked standing to pursue its suit, which it filed to try to make it harder for generic makers to compete with its gastrointestinal antibiotic Vancocin.
