FDA Slams Zoll Over Defibrillator Battery Life Issues
The FDA said in the warning letter, dated April 22 and posted on its website Tuesday, that Zoll had received 15 complaints from September 2009 through January regarding battery depletion before the end of a calculated five-year battery life cycle on which the company relies, but that it still hadn't re-evaluated the relevant calculation.
