Medtronic Braces For Face-Off In Court

Law360, New York (June 12, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- In the long and litigious battle Medtronic has been fighting with customers over its allegedly faulty defibrillators, a district judge has handed down an amended pretrial order outlining the schedule and rules for discovery in the suit's imminent trial.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur J. Boylan laid out the plan Thursday in a Minnesota district court, allowing each side until April 15, 2008 to complete its general discovery.

The order gives plaintiffs until April 1, 2008 to move for class certification and defendants until May 30, 2008...
