Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 6:02 PM ET) -- Over-the-counter brand name purveyor Prestige Brands Inc. is reportedly working with Blackstone Group LP on a bid for a group of health care brands owned by GlaxoSmithKline PLC that generate about $785 million in sales per year.
The GSK portfolio, which includes products like pain and fever reliever Solpadeine, vitamin and supplements line Abtei, and feminine cleansing product Lactacyd, is also coveted by Bain Capital LLC, Dow Jones Newswires reported Monday, adding that the the portfolio could fetch $3 billion.
