Wal-Mart Launches FCPA Compliance Probe

Law360, New York (December 08, 2011, 10:02 PM ET) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is investigating whether its polices, procedures and internal controls are in compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the company revealed Thursday.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based retail giant said in a regulatory filing that it had begun a voluntary internal investigation into its permitting, licensing and inspections operations to determine if they are in compliance with the anti-bribery law.
