Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 6:54 PM ET) -- U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., will reintroduce a motion on Monday to advance revised legislation renewing and expanding user fees that would strengthen U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval and oversight authority over pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
A deal to move the bill forward under unanimous consent hadn't been reached as of Friday evening, Reid's spokesman told Law360. On Thursday, Reid filed a cloture motion on the bill that would force a Senate vote on the bill's advancement.
