Ivera Expands IV Cap Patent War Against Hospira, Others

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 1:51 PM ET) -- Ivera Medical Corp. on Tuesday lodged more patent infringement suits against Excelsior Medical Corp., Hospira Inc. and Catheter Connections Inc. over the defendants' rival devices that are designed to clean intravenous valves used in medical procedures.

In three separate complaints filed in California federal court, Ivera alleges Excelsior, Hospira and Catheter Connections violated a patent that was issued to the California-based medical company by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
