Sun Pharma Unit Back In Action 3 Years After Drug Seizures

Law360, New York (August 28, 2012, 3:39 PM ET) -- Three years after having inventories seized by federal agents, Michigan-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd., a subsidiary of Indian drugmaker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., has addressed some manufacturing problems and received limited approval to resume operations, the company said Tuesday.

The clearance affects facilities in Detroit and Wixom, Mich., and only applies to a pair of the generic-drug maker’s products — heart medicine carvedilol and antibiotic paromomycin.
