Law360, New York (January 03, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Medical device maker Kinetic Concepts Inc. has launched a suit against a Maryland-based rival and three former Kinetic employees for allegedly stealing its vacuum-assisted technology for treating chronic wounds.
Kinetic tied Innovative Therapies Inc. and three of its principals who were former Kinetic workers into a suit on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, alleging breach of confidentiality agreements, conspiracy and theft of trade secrets related to its Vacuum Assisted Closure System for wound care.
