Law360, New York (February 13, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Heart valve manufacturer Edwards Lifesciences Corp. has stepped up its patent infringement claims against rival CoreValve Inc. by adding a U.S. suit to pending infringement claims in Europe.
Edwards filed the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, claiming that CoreValve infringed three patents for catheter heart valve technology. Edwards had already filed suits in Germany and the United Kingdom over a European equivalent of one of the so-called Andersen patents.
