Law360, New York (March 16, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Barr Laboratories Inc. has been hit by Shire PLC with an infringement suit after filing an abbreviated new drug application for a generic version of Shire's kidney drug Fosrenol.
The suit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges that Barr, now part of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., infringed three patents held by Shire.
