Tune Hunter, Shazam Settle Music ID Patent Battle

Law360, New York (January 05, 2010, 2:01 PM ET) -- Music technology firm Shazam Entertainment Ltd. has become the first defendant to settle patent infringement claims from Texas-based Tune Hunter Inc., the assignee of a patent covering a music identification system.

U.S. District Judge T. John Ward signed off on the agreement Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, but details of the settlement remain confidential.
