Law360, New York (June 24, 2010, 4:53 PM ET) -- A bankruptcy judge has postponed a hearing on the confirmation of the Texas Rangers' Chapter 11 plan, instead ordering the Major League Baseball team and its creditors to mediation in hopes of ironing out “a consensual plan.”
The order came days after Judge D. Michael Lynn, who is overseeing the bankruptcy proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, approved the team's disclosure statement and scheduled a confirmation hearing for July 9.
