Philly Papers Seeks Rule 2004 Examination Of Funds

Law360, New York (July 20, 2010, 3:25 PM ET) -- Philadelphia Newspapers LLC and creditors who supported its recently approved reorganization plan have asked for Rule 2004 discovery against a group of pension funds, arguing that the funds have attempted to “saddle” the company with liability.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Newspapers requested a host of documents related to withdrawal liability claims filed by the funds.
