Wilson Sonsini Reps EA In $1.3B PopCap Games Deal

Law360, New York (July 12, 2011, 8:35 PM ET) -- Video game giant Electronic Arts Inc. announced on Tuesday that it will acquire PopCap Games, the maker of popular titles like "Plants vs. Zombies" and "Bejeweled," for up to $1.3 billion in cash and stock.

Redwood City, Calif.-based EA will initially pay $650 million in cash and $100 million in shares, and says it will pay as much as $550 million more in the future if PopCap games make at least $343 million in earnings before interest and taxes for the 2012 and 2013 calendar years....
