Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 6:50 PM ET) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday affirmed a Florida court's ruling that a sports agent must arbitrate claims that the NFL's union wrongly terminated his certification after he failed for more than three years to sign a player to a contract.
The ruling in favor of arbitration came in plaintiff Jake Kivisto's collective bargaining agreement dispute with the National Football League Players Association, in which he claimed the union adopted an amendment to its rules unfairly allowing for certification expiration when another rule expressly said such expirations...
