George Clinton Launches Funkadelic IP Suit

Law360, San Diego (December 08, 2011, 10:45 PM ET) -- Funk singer George Clinton has lodged a suit in California federal court accusing several U.S. and foreign companies of infringing copyright and trademark rights related to his band Funkadelic, according to a Thursday announcement.

The suit, filed Monday, targets Michigan companies Westbound Records Inc. and Sync2Picture LLC, U.K. company Ace Records Ltd., and Charly Acquisitions Ltd. of the Caribbean island Nevis, among others.
