Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 9:48 PM ET) -- A California judge on Friday awarded $12 million to plaintiffs including “Crash” actor Brendan Fraser and director Paul Haggis in their breach of contract suit claiming producers including Bob Yari withheld nearly $10 million from their work on the Academy Award-winning film.
California Superior Court Judge Daniel J. Buckley ruled that Yari and related production companies named as defendants had improperly made certain deductions from the film’s receipts and denied that amount to Fraser, Haggis, producer Mark Harris and co-writer Bobby Moresco.
