Law360, Los Angeles (March 01, 2012, 3:51 PM ET) -- Publishers American Institute of Physics and John Wiley & Sons Inc. launched suits in Illinois and Minnesota federal courts Wednesday claiming two intellectual property law firms used copyrighted scientific journal articles in patent applications without permission.
The suits target major patent firms Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner PA and McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP for earning profits enforcing intellectual property rights for clients, even as they allegedly flouted the intellectual property rights of scientific journal publishers.
