'Desperate Housewives' Creator Denies Hitting Sheridan

Law360, Los Angeles (March 08, 2012, 8:05 PM ET) -- “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry told jurors Thursday during Nicollette Sheridan's wrongful termination trial that he was shocked the actress had accused him of hitting her in the face and said he welcomed an investigation into the 2008 altercation so he could clear his name.

“I wanted there to be an investigation because I wanted everyone to know what had happened,” Cherry said under questioning by his attorney Adam Levin of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP.
