Law360, New York (March 20, 2012, 5:41 PM ET) -- Aereo Inc. on Tuesday disputed claims by Fox Television Studios Inc., Univision Television Group Inc. and others that its service, which streams digital versions of television signals, is copyright infringement, arguing it is providing technology that consumers can use legally.
In addition to Fox and Univision, Aereo lodged counterclaims in New York federal court against Thirteen, Public Broadcasting Service and WNET, seeking declaratory judgment that its technology does not infringe the networks' copyrights.
