Law360, New York (April 09, 2012, 6:52 PM ET) -- Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is refusing to release his hold on two Federal Communications Commission nominees, saying the requested FCC documents he had received on startup wireless provider LightSquared Inc. weren't adequate, a spokeswoman said Monday.
Since last year, Grassley has been demanding documents from the FCC that address its review of the LightSquared project, which sought to build a satellite phone network that he believes could interfere with GPS systems. The FCC refused, and Grassley responded by blocking the nominations of two FCC commissioners.
