Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 1:31 PM ET) -- Online game developer Zynga Inc. on Friday went after a former manager in California court, accusing its onetime employee of breaching a contract by defecting to a competitor with valuable trade secrets concerning Zynga's product line and business strategies.
Zynga, the developer of such social network free-to-play games as “FarmVille” and “Words With Friends,” alleges that Alan Patmore absconded to rival game developer Kixeye with proprietary information that Zynga claims could allow its competitor to gain an unfair advantage in the industry.
