Law360, New York (January 29, 2013, 6:59 PM ET) -- A Missouri federal judge on Tuesday denied H&R Block Inc.'s bid to pull two television advertisements for TurboTax software that accuse H&R Block of hiring novice tax preparers, saying the company failed to show the ads were false or deceptive.
U.S. District Judge Fernando J. Gaitan Jr. denied H&R Block's motion for a temporary restraining order and request for preliminary injunction which would have prevented Intuit Inc., the company behind TurboTax, from continuing to broadcast the ads.
