DOJ Goes To Bat For Sports Leagues In NJ Gambling Suit

Law360, New York (February 05, 2013, 4:28 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice told a New Jersey federal court Friday that the state had no right to legalize sports betting, arguing the federal government’s ban on sports betting in most states is a valid exercise of the commerce clause.
