Law360, New York (February 15, 2013, 7:39 PM ET) -- Former college athletes have amended their proposed class action in Illinois claiming the NCAA failed to protect them from concussions, borrowing language from NFL players' concussion complaint in a bid to show the college organization promised to protect players' health.
The plaintiffs also added two claims for breach of express contract and a breach of implied contract to a second amended complaint filed in federal court Wednesday. They maintained their claims for fraudulent concealment, negligence, medical monitoring and unjust enrichment.
