Fla. Reporter Sues NY Times Co. For Overtime Wages

Law360, New York (May 06, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A former reporter for a Florida daily newspaper owned by The New York Times Co. has filed a proposed class action demanding unpaid overtime wages on behalf of her onetime colleagues.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, claims reporters at The Ledger are not exempt from overtime pay under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and the paper owes its editorial staff due wages.
