Law360, New York (February 02, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The traditional media licensing agreement is evolving as new media changes the landscape of such deals and the industry re-evaluates its options for distributing property rights, according to Joseph Calabrese, chair of O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s entertainment, media and sports practice.
“In the typical licensing agreement, you are talking about television rights, video-on-demand rights, computer-assisted media rights — these are the big topics in financing and licensing deals as people try to figure out the economic consequences of new types of media,” Calabrese said.
