Both Sides Claim Win In $72M Mega Brands Settlement

Law360, New York (November 09, 2009, 4:31 PM ET) -- Toy maker Mega Brands Inc. and the former owners of its American subsidiary both claimed victory Monday in a $72 million settlement, ending a battle over missed earnouts and defective toys.

Montreal-based Mega Brands and Lawrence and Jeffrey Rosen, former owners of Rose Art Industries, announced separately the settlement of a series of lawsuits stemming from Mega Brands' 2005 purchase of the maker of the defective Magnetix product line.
