Law360, New York (February 10, 2010, 1:38 PM ET) -- Semiconductor giant Micron Technology Inc. has announced plans to acquire Numonyx Holdings BV, a maker of memory technologies, in an all-stock transaction valued at around $1.27 billion.
Micron said Tuesday that it had entered into a definitive agreement with Numonyx, the product of a 2008 joint venture between Intel Corp. and STMicroelectronics NV. Under the deal, Micron will issue 140 million common shares to Numonyx’s shareholders: Intel, STMicroelectronics and Francisco Partners, a backer.
