Law360, New York (March 02, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Despite heightened concerns and the threat of lawsuits from farm groups, Monsanto Co. is plowing ahead with its plans to acquire Delta & Pine Land Co. for $1.5 billion.
In a speech at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum, the company’s vice president and chief technology officer said the merger is set to move ahead. Robert Fraley, the company’s vice president and chief technology officer was quoted by the Dow Jones as saying Monsanto was "feeling good about the process.”
