Law360, New York (December 16, 2010, 5:21 PM ET) -- American Express Co. is set to acquire German marketing services company Loyalty Partner for €496 million ($660 million) in a move to expand the company's international customer base.
The deal, expected to close in the first quarter of 2011, will add more than 34 million consumers in Europe and India, American Express announced Thursday.
"We see it as a natural fit that will advance two strategic priorities: accelerating our growth in international markets and building out new fee-based services," AmEx Vice Chairman Ed Gilligan said....
