Law360, New York (January 13, 2011, 6:36 PM ET) -- Google Inc. says it remains confident its deal to buy ITA Software Inc. will improve competition in the marketplace despite reports Thursday that the U.S. Department of Justice may move to block it as a potential antitrust risk.
The proposed $700 million deal, announced in July, would give Google control of one of the leading companies providing software to travel and hotel booking websites.
