MoFo Reps Terumo In $2.6B Gambro Unit Deal

Law360, New York (March 07, 2011, 3:04 PM ET) -- Japanese medical technology heavyweight Terumo Corp. agreed Monday to purchase Swedish medical device maker Gambro AB's Colorado-based blood product unit, CaridianBCT, for $2.6 billion.

The deal is expected to add 70 billion yen ($850 million) to Terumo's annual sales, and is part of the company's strategy to achieve revenues of $12.2 billion within 10 years, according to a statement from the companies filed with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
