Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 3:25 PM ET) -- A subsidiary of Chinese private equity firm Citic Capital Holdings Ltd. has offered to take software company AsiaInfo-Linkage Inc. private for an undisclosed price that is a premium over its current stock price of $11.99 per share, AsiaInfo-Linkage announced Friday.
Citic Capital proposed a cash purchase of all of AsiaInfo-Linkage's outstanding shares, and the company created a special committee of the board of directors to consider the proposal and any possible alternatives, according to the statement.
