Insurer Seeks To Toss Perkins Coie Atty's Testimony

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 6:08 PM ET) -- An insurer argued Monday that a Perkins Coie LLP partner testifying for a Merge Healthcare Inc. subsidiary was a biased policyholder attorney unqualified to weigh in on an Illinois suit over a $3 million attorneys' fee award in a securities complaint related to a merger.
Carolina Casualty Insurance Co. asked an Illinois federal court to strike the testimony of Timothy Burns, a former co-chair of the American Bar Association's insurance coverage litigation committee.
